Feb. 25: Catechism day was celebrated at Alangar on 24.02.2019 with lots of joy and happiness. Fr Rohith D’Costa Asst Director of St Joseph’s Engineering College Celebrated the Solemn Mass, with meaningful liturgy by children and preached on need of Catechism to grow in faith and to become good human beings. It helps students to form good character and values in life. So gave a call to all children and parents not to neglect it.

After the Mass all children put bible based culture programme with dance, action songs, mimes, singing and skits.  60 Children were awarded prizes for securing marks above 75. 60 children for attending catechism daily, 93 children for participating in catechism extracurricular activities, 8 for good record books and 3 toppers in three sections were honoured. Teachers were honoured with a small gift as token of gratitude for their services whole year. Vice president of Parish Pastoral Parishad, Fr Rohith and Parish priest gave small messages asking the gathering to give top priority for faith education and not to neglect it for silly reasons. Parish priest spoke on the need of celebrating catechism day in a grand manner to make the parents and children clear how important it is to catechise themselves.

Sumptuous meal was served to the children, their parents and invited guests.
